About Us
Founded in 1969, Princes Park Youth Football Club has grown into a respected grassroots institution with a long-standing presence in local football.
What began as an initiative led by police officers and community figures developed into a structured club that supports young players both on and off the pitch.

Our Journey
55+ years of growth and community impact
1969
Originally formed by police officers and a magistrate at Princes Park in Temple Fortune. An early initiative to bring organised football to the local community, laying the foundation for what would become a respected grassroots club.
1998
Tim Sims, Malcolm Fry, and Grahame Searle established the modern club structure by creating a Trust and registering with the Charity Commission. This marked the beginning of professional governance and structured community operations.
2000
Development of a floodlit AstroTurf pitch, significantly expanding training capacity and enabling evening sessions year-round. A major infrastructure investment allowing the club to accommodate growing player numbers.
2005
Construction of a dedicated clubhouse in partnership with London Borough of Barnet, complete with changing facilities and café. This facility became the heart of the club community, providing essential amenities.
2012
Comprehensive refurbishment works completed across facilities, including pitch improvements, updated changing rooms, and enhanced security measures. Demonstrating ongoing commitment to maintaining professional standards.
2017
Continued site improvements and infrastructure investment including additional pitch refurbishment and security upgrades. The club reinforced its position as a premier grassroots football facility in the region.
